Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday that there was currently serious potential in reaching a final agreement on Iran’s nuclear program and the chance should not be missed.
“Only joint efforts [from the international community] are capable of moving the solution to the most difficult and complex international problems, and this has happened during the successful settlement with Syrian chemical weapons, and during talks on Iran’s nuclear program, where thanks to constructive adjustment of all the participants a serious potential in reaching an overall agreement has been formed,” Lavrov said during a speech before the Russian upper house of parliament.
He added that “the possibility should not be missed” in reaching a final agreement so as not to return to “methods of pressure” against Iran, sputniknews.com reported.
