Security sources in the Saudi governorate of al-Qatif, in the Eastern province, said that a suicide blast hit Imam Ali (as) Mosque, killing at least 20 worshippers and wounding dozens of others during Friday prayers.
Security spokesman of Saudi interior ministry confirmed the attack, saying that the security apparatus was informed that an explosion took place in a Mosque in al-Qadih town.
ISIL behind attack
ISIL said in an online statement Friday that it carried out the deadly suicide bomb attack at Imam Ali (A.S) mosque in Qatif, eastern Saudi Arabia.
