Security sources told al-Manar that the resistance fighters were now in full control of the al-Rahwa plain and crossing in Arsal barrens.

The sources reported collapse within the ranks of the terrorist militants, adding that they fled the area.

ISIL terrorists prevented Nusra Front gunmen from crossing the areas they (ISIL) control in Arsal barrens to escape from Hezbollah.

Well-informed sources told Al-Manar that Hezbollah fighters seized important documents which include the military plans of Nusra terrorists.

The area is considered as a stronghold of Nusra Front, the sources added, noting that the fighters are advancing towards Shobat al-Kala’a height.

Earlier on Friday the resistance fighters also managed to cleanse several areas leading to the crossing.

Elsewhere in Qalamoun barrens, the Syrian army and resistance fighters took control of the strategic height of al-Thallaga, which lies in Flita barrens.

The resistance fighters have been for weeks engaged in a wide-scale operation to secure the barrens of Qalamoun and Arsal. This area lies on the border between Syria and Lebanon and is considered as stronghold for the Syria-based Takfiri militants.
