Five Terrorist Blasts Rock Sanaa on Ramadan Eve, Claim 31 Civilians

Five terrorist explosions went off in Sanaa on Wednesday evening, hours before the holy month of Ramadan started, killing 31 civilians and injuring scores others.

The terrorist blasts targeted four mosques and a bureau of Ansarullah political movement.

Three car bombs exploded in the capital targeting three different mosques during the evening prayers, one at the airport road, another in Jarraf neighborhood and the other in Zera'a neighborhood, as an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in front of Kabsi mosque in Zera'a street.

The last car bomb exploded in front of the house of Ansarullah official, Saleh Al-Saamadi.

The so-called 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (ISIL) takfiri group claimed responsibility for the five terrorist blasts that turned Ramadan eve into a bloody night.

Yemen has been under brutal aggression by Saudi-US coalition since Saudi Arabia launched military strikes against its southern neighbor on March 26 without a UN mandate.

Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians. Terrorist explosion didn't stop as well, claiming the lives of innocent and armless people of Yemen.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 2,600 people have so far lost their lives during the conflict in Yemen till June 14. However the death toll released by local authorities puts it much higher at about 4,300.

According to a recent report by Freedom House Foundation, most of the victims of the Saudi-US aggression are civilians, including a large number of women and children.

Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
