The Iraqi security forces and the Popular Mobilization units continued on Thursday their major military operations to liberate areas of the west Anbar province from the terrorists of the so-called 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (ISIL) takfiri group, Al-Manar TV reporter said.
ISIL terrorist group started to withdraw from the area following the blows of Iraqi army and Mobilization forces, the reporter added.
In parallel with the plan to liberate Ramadi city, center of Anbar province, the Iraqi security forces set another plan for the city of Hit, sending military reinforcements from the Babylon Operations Command to the Ameriyya-Fallouja axis.
The package included arms spare parts and heavy weapons that will be used to target ISIL locations in Ramadi.
Moreover, Iraqi security personnel, the Popular Mobilization forces and the tribes of Ameriyya have taken measures that would foil any attack planned by ISIL in the area.
Iraq launched a wide military campaign on ISIL in June 2014, when the takfiri group occupied the northern province of Mosel and declared the so-called 'Caliphate'.
