Syrian army units have mounted heavy airstrikes Friday against terrorists positions in and around the northern city of Aleppo.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said fighting between the insurgents and army forces continued into the early hours of Friday, and Syrian army airstrikes on militant positions were continuous.
A Syrian military source said the attack had been repelled and heavy casualties had been inflicted on the insurgents, adding that the air force and artillery had been used to target the terrorists who in turn had used heavy weapons in their attack.
A military source told SANA that more than 100 terrorists were killed and 14 vehicles were destroyed in Hleiseh, al-Jabboul, Ein al-Hanash, Deir Hafer, Maskaneh, al-Kastello, Tal Alam and Tal al-Treks in the city and countryside of the northern Aleppo province. An ammunition depot for terrorists was also destroyed in al-Breij.
