At least one projectile fired at southern occupied Palestine exploded in open territory in the Eshkol Regional Council on Friday, causing "code red" sirens to sound in communities in the vicinity, Zionist media outlets reported.
No damage was reported as the Zionist security forces started to investigate whether the launch emanated from the Gaza Strip or from Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.
Egyptian security sources told Reuters they were investigating the reports and said there was no immediate evidence a rocket was launched from Egyptian territory.
Egypt was rocked by a series of terrorist attacks this week that claimed scores of Eyptian people and army personnel.
