Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said on Friday that the threats by the United States to leave the nuclear talks are not serious, state-run IRNA news agency reported.
Speaking to reporters on Quds Day rally held in Tehran, Larijani said the remarks by US Secretary of State John Kerry were political gesture of US officials at the final stage of negotiations.
He said that negotiations made good progress so far, calling on P5+1 group to do what they must to do in order to reach a logical final deal.
Referring to the rise of takfiri terrorist groups in the region, Larijani said that Zionists are abetting such extremist groups to sabotage the values of Islam including the Islamic principle of campaign (Jihad) against oppression.
The Islamic Republic and the P5+1 are engaged in intensive talks to reach a deal regarding the Iranian nuclear enrichment program and lifting the international sanctions on Iran's economic sector.
