Hezbollah and the Syrian army tightened the noose around terrorists in central Zabadani Monday following three weeks of heavy fighting for control of the border resort town, reports said.
Monday’s advance targeted militant positions and crossings in the area. A dozen militants were killed in clashes which saw intensified Syrian army airstrikes and shelling.
A footage aired on Al-Manar TV showed fighters destroying a militant vehicle with a single rocket.
Hezbollah and the Syrian army have gained control of large parts of the city since launching an offensive to retake Zabadani at the beginning of the month.
In the weekend, Hezbollah and the Syrian Army controlled the area of Darb al-Sham which is the terrorists' supply way towards Baradah, well-informed sources told Al-Manar.
The Resistance and the Syrian military killed 20 terrorists who were trying to flee Zabadani city to the north-west of Damascus, tightening the noose on the rest of the militants in the city.
