Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Sunday that everybody is now aware that the Islamic Republic cannot be threatened through the use of sanctions or resorting to pressure.
"Today, we are in a position that we have told the whole world that Iran cannot be threatened by pressure and sanctions," Rouhani said in an address to the people of the western Iranian province of Kordestan.
He added that Iran will work to break all the "chains of sanctions" against the country in order for the Iranian nation to realize all its absolute rights.
During the last round of nuclear negotiations in the Austrian capital of Vienna, the six world powers once again bowed before the Iranian nation’s will and resistance, the Iranian president stated.
"We solved the nuclear issue at the negotiating table. We are capable of settling other regional and global issues through negotiations as well," Rouhani said.
The Iranian president noted that the United States sometimes makes mistakes in its rhetoric regarding Iran due to the numerous domestic problems it faces, adding, "I am telling US authorities and politicians that you should decide" and make a major shift in policy.
Urging the entire world to speak to the Iranian people with the language of respect and honor, President Rouhani emphasized that Iran succeeded in achieving a "historic victory" after twelve years of nuclear talks.
