The blast went off near Ath-Thawra Hospital in Sanaa, where several attacks claimed by the ISIL 'jihadist' group have targeted the area.
The Yemeni army backed by the popular committees continued on Wednesday targeting al-Qaeda posts in various provinces, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists.
Saudi Arabia has been bombing Yemen since March 26 to bring fugitive president Abed-Rabbu Mansour Hadi back to power.
The airstrikes have so far claimed the lives of more than 5,302 civilians, mostly women and children.
