Syrian President Bashar Assad issues decree appointing Samir Othman al-Sheikh to replace Hussein Arnoos as governor of Deir Ezzor
Syrian President Bashar Assad issued on Sunday a decree appointing Samir Othman al-Sheikh to replace Hussein Arnoos as governor of Deir Ezzor, the state news agency SANA reported.
According to SANA, Assad issued a decree transferring Deir Ezzor Governor Hussein Arnous from his post and appointing him as a governor of Quneitra Province. The decree also stipulates for discharging Dr. Khalil Mashhdeh from his post as a governor of Quneitra Province.
Al-Sheikh was sworn in before President al-Assad as Deir Ezzor Governor, and later President al-Assad received al-Sheikh wishing him success in his tasks.
