The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bogdanov asserted that Moscow supports the Syrians to start a new round of talks based on Geneva statement.

"The Syrians alone must decide the destiny of their country through the political dialogue," Bogdanov added, "Russia is working to end the regional crisis."

The Russian diplomat noted that several Syrian opposition delegations are expected to visit Moscow during the upcoming period.
