Terrorists launched rocket shells on Damascus on Wednesday, killing at least five civilians and injuring dozens others.
“The shells, which were fired by terrorists positioned in the Eastern al-Ghouta, left five civilians dead and 55 others injured,” official news agency, SANA, quoted a source at Damascus Police Command as saying.
The source noted that most of the victims are women and children, SANA added.
Meanwhile, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based monitoring group, also said rocket shells were launched on Damascus, but reported different death toll.
The observatory said more than 50 missiles were fired at several central neighborhoods.
