Field sources said that the militants launched several attacks on several fronts in the two towns, stressing that the attacks were failed.
Many terrorists were killed and injured as the popular committees repelled the attacks, the sources added, noting that they managed to capture a tank of militants in Deir Zoghb, the sources added.
Fighters of the committees also managed to pull the corpses of the Takfiri militants along with their commanders, according to the sources.
As they failed to penetrate the fronts of the towns, militants launched dozens of rocket shells on the towns, killing and injuring a number of civilians.
