Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hussein Amir Abdollahian warned against the “harmful game” played by the Saudi Arabia, noting that such role is “detrimental” to Riyadh.

In remarks published by IRNA official news agency, Abdollahian said on Tuesday that Iran nuclear deal is beneficial for all the regional counties.

The Iranian diplomat said that if Saudi Arabia plays a constructive role in that end, it would definitely benefit more.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian“Saudi Arabia's harmful game is detrimental to this Arab country and is a serious threat to regional security and sustainable development,” he added.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran fully welcomes negotiating and cooperation with Saudi Arabia aimed at returning peace, security and prosperity in the region,” he added.

“The Yemen crisis could be settled through a political mean and agreement of all Yemeni groups,” Abdollahian concluded.

Earlier last week, the Iranian diplomat warned that intensification of war-mongering policy in Yemen is doomed to failure because settlement of the issue of war-hit country is only possible through diplomatic means.

“The parties that are after creating unrest and civil war in Yemen fail to understand its undesirable repercussions on region's security,” he told IRNA.
