A car with a false license plate went off in front of a pharmacy near al-Muwasalat roundabout in al-Sittin Street in the neighborhood.
Earlier, two civilians were reported killed and 12 others were injured in the attack.
A source at the Health Directorate of Homs said a child injured in the explosion is in very critical condition.
Meanwhile, a civilian was killed and four others were injured in terrorist attacks that targeted residential neighborhoods in Damascus.
A source in the police command told SANA that five shells fired by terrorists in Joubar neighborhood fell on residential neighborhoods in Damascus, injuring three civilians.
The terrorist attacks also caused material damage to a number of houses, shops and cars, the source added.
Another civilian was shot dead and a fifth was injured when terrorists opened fire in al-Abbasiyeen area near Joubar neighborhood where terrorists are active and target civilians.
