The Iranian ambassador announced after the meeting that he discussed with the Lebanese minister the latest economic developments in the Islamic Republic of Iran and its achievements, in spite of the sanctions imposed on it over the last years, regarding the solar, hydro, wind energies, and others.
Fateh-Ali pointed out that his country offers readiness to provide all the assistance required to help Lebanon overcome its energy production problems.
"We offer the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to provide all the assistance required in order to help Lebanon overcome the problems being experienced in this sector," the Iranian diplomat said.
"Despite the unjust sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past years, we have been able not only to reach the stage of self-sufficiency in electricity production, but we became one of the exporting countries in this sector as well," he added.
"All these achievements and developments of the Islamic Republic of Iran based on national self-energies in Iran," Fateh-Ali noted.
The Iranian ambassador voiced hope that through bilateral cooperation between Lebanon and Iran, the two countries will be able in the coming period to strengthen bilateral relations more than ever.
