Hezbollah and the Syrian army are tightening noose on Takfiri militants who are trapped in the southwestern city of Zabadani.
Hezbollah’s Military Media sources told al-Manar that the Takfiri insurgents have been trapped in a small area in Zabadani (area of 1 km out of 25 km which is the area of the city).
Meanwhile, the sources reported that the allied forces advanced in the city’s west towards the down town.
They managed to liberate al-Jisr Mosque, the sources said, noting that the allied forces dismantled many explosive devices which was planted by the terrorists in the mosque.
The allied forces also seized several blocks surrounding al-Jisr Mosque, killing and injuring a number of terrorists.
Hezbollah and the Syrian army have been since July 4 engaged in the battle of Zabadani, the last city under the control of terrorists in the Qalamoun region on the Lebanese border.
The ongoing battle is part of a wider operation launched by the Sallied forces on May 4, which has reportedly driven militants out of more than 90 percent of the territory in the mountainous region.
