Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham on Tuesday urged the Islamic states to show a powerful reaction to the Zionist desecration of the Islamic sanctities.
Condemning desecration of Islamic sanctities, by the Zionist entity in recent days, she said the act of illegitimate and child killer Zionist regime to divide al-Aqsa Mosque for the worshippers by separation of the holy place in terms of space and timing of the prayers runs counter to international norms.
She urged all governments and Muslim states in particular along with international institutions mainly the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take immediate reaction to the illegal act of the Zionist regime.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to assist other OIC members to set up an emergency meeting to review and study the Israeli desecration of the Islamic sanctities taking required action," Afkham said.
"Zionists militant on Monday for the second time attacked the Palestinian prayers and mounted tension in Beit-ol-Moqaddas," she added.
The latest Zionist aggressions coincide with the Jewish holidays which will be lasted until early October.
The Zionist extremists have attacked Al-Aqsa Mosque several times in the past three days.
