Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday said enemy's efforts to infiltrate into Iran's critical centers is one of the biggest dangers that threatens the country.
During a meeting with a number of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) top commanders and staff, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that enemy’s economic and security influence is not as important as its influence in the ideological, cultural and political fields.
“Of course Iranian authorities, including those in the IRGC, would prevent the security infiltration of enemy with ultimate power,” said the Leader.
He also urged Iranian economic officials to stay vigilant with “their eyes open wide” against enemies’ plots.
“In order to penetrate into the country in cultural fields, enemy tries to change, distort or damage those beliefs which have been pillars of the society,” said the Leader.
As for enemy’s political infiltration, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “They will try to penetrate into the decision-taking centers, and in case of failure, they would find footholds in critical grand policy centers; a country target of such political onslaught would be definitely directed according to the imperialist magnet of favor,” he asserted.
“When a country is under political influence, then it will move and choose its way based on the will of the arrogant powers.”
The Leader stressed the need for being watchful vis-à-vis enemies’ efforts noting, “If we stay vigilant, enemy will get disappointed.
“They pledge that in 10 years, Iran won’t be the same as it is today. We should not let them nourish such satanic hopes or thoughts in their hearts.”
Ayatollah Khamenei urged the need to further strengthen basis of the Revolution and revolutionary thought in the society in order to encounter the enemies’ plots.
