The Sultanate of Oman has condemned the attack on its ambassador’s house in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa
The Sultanate of Oman has condemned the attack on its ambassador's house in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, the Times of Oman reported.
A statement from the Sultanate’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it violates the international norms. "Oman received with deep regret yesterday's news targeting the ambassador's home in Sanaa, which is a clear violation of international charters and norms that emphasize the inviolability of diplomatic premises," the statement said.
The statement urged the United Nations to take all measures to ensure an end to the current war in Yemen before it poses a serious threat to the security of the region.
The Sultanate has also urged the Yemeni parties to put aside their differences with each other to ensure the return of stability and security in Yemen.
The Omani ambassador's home in the Yemeni capital Sanaa has come under fire during continued bombardment of the country by the Saudi-US led coalition.
