The Lebanese cabinet convened at the Baabda Presidential Palace to discuss various issues

The Lebanese cabinet convened on Tuesday at the Baabda Presidential Palace to discuss various issues, including the demarcation of Lebanon’s maritime borders, reported the National News Agency.

The session was headed by President Michel Sleiman who held a meeting with Prime Minister Najib Mikati behind closed doors ahead of the cabinet session, added the report. However, it did not elaborate further.

The session addressed the Israeli aggression against Lebanese sovereignty in Wazzani yesterday, and the way the Lebanese army dealt with the matter. They also listened to the report of Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn about the attack.

The new cabinet was formed on June 13 and was granted parliament’s vote of confidence on July 7.
