Three NATO occupation soldiers were killed in Afghanistan Wednesday, taking to 328 the number of troops to be killed so far this year in the war-torn country.

The coalition announced on Thursday that two soldiers were killed in a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan.
It added the third soldier was killed in a noncombat-related incident in the east of the country.

According to official figures, more than 2,575 US-led soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since the US-led invasion of the Asian country in 2001.

The increasing number of troop casualties in Afghanistan has caused widespread anger in the US and other NATO member states, undermining public support for the Afghan war.
