Iranian army and air defense forces held a preparation maneuver at Khondab nuclear site in Arak, central Iran, a provincial official said on Tuesday.
Political and Security Deputy Governor of Markazi Province Shokrollah Hassanbeigi said the drill was held simultaneously with the Muharram maneuver currently underway in the western and northwestern Iran, Iran’s state agency reported.
“During the war games, test flights were performed on drones over Khondab nuclear site, displaying the capabilities of Iran’s air defense,” he added.
Hassanbeigi reiterated that identifying suspicious flying objects with timely reactions also held during the maneuver.
Iranian Army started Muharram maneuver in the western and northwestern Iran on Monday.
The two-day drills are being carried out by the Ground Force, Air Force, and Khatm-ul-Anbia Air Defense Headquarters.
