Some sides refuse to give priority to fighting terrorism and refuse to coordinate with the Syrian government regarding humanitarian aid.
Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Bashar al-Jaafari said that some sides claim to want to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Syria, but they refuse to give priority to fighting terrorism and refuse to coordinate with the Syrian government regarding humanitarian aid.
During a Security Council session for discussing the humanitarian situation in Syria, al-Jaafari said that resolving the main cause of the crisis in Syria – that reason being the spread of terrorism backed by foreign sides – can only be achieved by carrying out the UN Security Council’s resolutions on counter-terrorism and by coordinating and cooperating fully with the Syrian government, SANA reported.
He also said that it’s not possible to talk of ending the humanitarian crisis in Syria while there is silence over the fact that Turkey and Jordan are still using their territories as bases and passages for foreign terrorists, and while the Saudi and Qatari regimes and others prefer to openly and generously support terrorism instead of funding the humanitarian response plans.
