Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday that current crisis in Yemen should be resolved through political means.

He made the remarks in a telephone conversation with UN Special Envoy to Yemen Ismail Weld al-Sheikh Ahmed.

To resolve the issue, all political groups should play active role to this end, he said.

During the telephone conversation, the two sides discussed latest developments in Yemen.

The UN envoy urged all foreign and domestic groups to join the world body's initiative in resolving the disputes through dialogue.
