Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hussein Amir Abdollahian called for giving topmost priority to campaign against terrorism.
As he stressed that terrorism is the main shared problem of the Middle East and Europe, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hussein Amir Abdollahian called for giving topmost priority to campaign against it.
During a Monday evening meeting with visiting Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Didier Reynders, the two countries' diplomats exchanged viewpoints on regional developments, especially the Syrian and Yemeni crises, IRNA news agency reported.
Abdollahian stressed the need for seeking political and diplomatic and democratic solutions for the crises in Syria and Yemen, after effectively suppressing the terrorists which pose a shared threat against all regional and world countries.
For his part, the Belgian FM said he quite agreed with Tehran on the need to find diplomatic solutions for regional crises.
He stressed that the EU wishes to play a stronger role in the Middle East, whose main problem today is terrorism and extremism, arguing that involvement of all influential countries in the region and the world in resolving the regional countries is a dire need.
