It said that an explosive was discovered in a cartoon box placed near Kanaan cafe in the Qobbeh neighborhood.
The security forces cut off the area and a military expert soon arrived at the scene and dismantled the 10kg explosive.
A Lebanese terrorist was also arrested by the security forces overnight after being found carrying an explosive belt ready for detonation, NNA said on Thursday.
