Four Turkish policemen were injured in a suicide blast during an operation against ISIL in an apartment building in Turkey’s southeastern Gaziantep province Sunday, security forces said, according to Anadolu Agency.

Four Turkish policemen were injured in a suicide blast during an operation against ISIL in an apartment building in Turkey’s southeastern Gaziantep province Sunday, security forces said, according to Anadolu Agency.

The anti-terrorism branch and special operations forces carried out the operation in an apartment in Beylerbeyi district against ISIL suspects. The suicide bomber blew himself up after security forces broke the door of a suspect's flat.

One of the four wounded policemen is in a critical condition, officials said.

Since July, security forces in the country have been conducting anti-terrorist operations across Turkey after a ISIL suicide bombing killed dozens of people in Suruc, Sanliurfa province on July 20. Another terrorist attack killed more than 100 people in Ankara on October 10.
