Chairman of Iran’s Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that Possible Military Dimension (PMD) case of Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program should be closed.

Chairman of Iran’s Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that Possible Military Dimension (PMD) case of Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program should be closed.

Referring to the recent IAEA report on Iran's nuclear past and present activities which was released by Yukiya Amano on Wednesday, he said that if the other party to the talks do not close the PMD file, the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA) will not get executed.

He made the remarks in a local ceremony on Thursday evening, IRNA news agency reported.

During the nuclear talks, world powers bent towards Iran's power and these talks showed the weight of Iran in the international scene, Boroujerdi underlined.

Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Wednesday issued his report on the past activities of Iran's peaceful nuclear program also called PMD.

Amano's report was circulated among member states of the agency's Board of Governors who are scheduled to vote on closing the PMD file in a meeting on December 15.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Boroujerdi said that today, Islamic Republic has an inspiring role across the world and has changed all the equations in the region.

Pointing to the victories made by Syrian Army, he noted that Takfiri terrorist groups are doomed to failure.
