Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi said the long-term nuclear plan will be sent to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) after approval of the Supreme National Security Council and the JCPOA Monitoring Board.
'The plan will be sent to IAEA soon,' he told reporters after participating in an event to mark Research Day at the IRNA School of Journalism on Wednesday.
'Iran's (low-grade) enriched uranium will also be sent to Russia under IAEA supervision,' he said a day after the UN nuclear watchdog's Board of Governors in a resolution cleared Iran from possible military dimension (PMD) in its nuclear program and closed its file.
Salehi added that IAEA inspectors are present in carrying out the agreement on Arak nuclear reactor.
Asked whether Iran will dismantle its active centrifuges, he said, 'With the closure of PMD, we will start taking due measures about the active centrifuges according to JCPOA.'
