Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn lauded Iran’s support to Lebanon and other states in the region, describing the Islamic Republic as “a model in loyalty”.

As he met Iran's Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi, Ghoson said: “Iran respects the independency and dignity of Lebanon and always stands by Lebanon in all conditions”.
The Lebanese defense minister described Iran as “a model in loyalty and aid” to regional states, especially the Palestinian cause.

Ghoson also expressed optimism about his visit to Tehran in a near future, as he praised “the civilization, culture and developments of Iran”.
Ghoson and the Iranian ambassador also discussed issues of mutual interests and expansion of bilateral ties.

For his part, Roknabadi said that the Islamic Republic was ready to provide Lebanon with its expertise and experience in all fields, including defense capabilities.
