Israeli occupation authorities said on Tuesday a young Palestinian suspected of killing an Israeli at her home in a West Bank settlement was arrested.

Israeli occupation authorities said on Tuesday a young Palestinian suspected of killing an Israeli at her home in a West Bank settlement was arrested.

The suspect, whose age and identity were not given, was from a village close to the so-called Otniel settlement where Dafna Meir, 38, was stabbed to death Sunday, the occupation military said in a statement.

While Sunday's killing was part of a months-long wave of Palestinian operations, it was the first inside a Zionist settlement home in the occupied West Bank and triggered fears that the unrest was worsening against the Israelis.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signaled further security measures on Monday, pledging to "strengthen the communities" after the deadly stabbing in the so-called Otniel settlement near the flashpoint city of Hebron in the southern West Bank.

The occupied territories have been, since October 1, rocked by a wave of attacks against Zionists in retaliation of the Israeli repressive measures against the Palestinians across the West Bank and especially in al-Quds. Zionist settlers backed by occupation forces have been repeatedly storming the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, sparking Palestinian anger.
