There is no clear distinction between the opposition and the terrorists in Syria, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian told a news conference on Thursday.
"It has become difficult to separate the opposition from terrorists, there no clear distinction," he said.
"Some countries are trying to cloak these terrorists in a new garb and bring them to the negotiating table," the high-ranking diplomat said.
"We are optimistic about the talks in Geneva, but serious war against terrorism should be waged simultaneously." "For us, there are two important criteria," he said. "Terrorists must not sit down at the negotiating table. Besides, the opposition’s chief negotiator should enjoy credibility in Syria."
