Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is to address crowds on Friday during a ceremony marking Al-Quds Day.

His eminence is to tackle recent developments in a televised speech, at 5:00 pm, in the southern border town of Maroun al-Ras, the venue of battles between mujahedeen and Israeli occupation forces in July war 2006.

Al-Quds day ceremonies are celebrated on the last day of the holy month of Ramadan.

The leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Sayyed  Rouhollah Khomeini raised the idea of observing the International Quds Day in August 7 1979 following the Revolution Victory.

 Ever since, on this day, Muslims from across the world commemorate this day and stage rallies in support of Palestinians, calling for the liberation of the holy land from Zionists.
