Greek Coast Guard units on Sunday morning detected a vessel raising the flag of Togolese Republic off Rodos island and stopped it.
According to Turkish media outlets, the vessel was carrying 6 containers, two of them are fully loaded with weapons, ammunition and explosives heading to Lebanon.
Turkish mass media stated that the vessel, named Cookie Boy, has moved from Azmir port on Feb. 4, stopped for several days in the Mediterranean sea, which raised the concerns of coastal guards in Greece and took it to Crete island.
Upon searching it, weapons and ammunitions were found, 11-crew member have been arrested, including 6 Syrians, 4 Indians and a Lebanese.
Greek authorities opened investigation to uncover the case.
