The leadership of the popular mobilization forces announced on Wednesday that they, backed by the Iraqi army, regained the area of Salahuddine Island from ISIL, controlling swathes of territories (thousands of kilometers).

Imam Ali Hadi (P) campaign which employed the Iraqi air force and special forces, continued to comb in search for the remnants of ISIL terrorists in the liberated areas before declaring the complete victory.
