And so, the fate of martyr Hasan’s body is still mysterious until today...
Martyr Hasan Abdul Hussein Fahes
Hasan Abdul Hussein Fahes was born on the 16th of February, 1973 in Sheyah-Southern Suburb of Beirut, but was originally from the Southern village of Jebshiet.
His family was a moderate, religiously committed, struggling family that had high spirituality and moral, and rejected any kind of compliance, despite its tough financial situation.
Hasan dropped out of school at a young age to provide for his family.
Since he was a young boy, Hasan started attending the mosque. He became a spiritual person since he was little and was known for his strong faith and high-spirituality.
Hasan had very high morals. He was honest and faithful. His friends and brothers in the Islamic Resistance used to notice that his face was always glowing because of his strong faith and persistent performance of the Night Prayer (Salatul-lail).
Hasan joined the Islamic Resistance at a young age, underwent military training, and participated in heroic operations, including various break ins, against the Israeli occupation.
Hasan got married and had two kids. He moved to the village of Aitaroun to be closer to his job location.
Despite being from another village, he acquainted with the people of Aitaroun and visited them constantly, until he was known among them for his good-heart and kindness.
In the battlefield:
When the war of July 2006 broke out, the martyr was on duty in Maroun al-Ras on the border with the occupied Palestinian territories. One of the resistance fighters who accompanied him was martyred, and so Hasan left his location to move the martyr’s body to the town of Ainatha.
After handing over the body, Hasan met with a group of mujahedeen in the town where they engaged a group of Zionist soldiers.
Hasan was martyred, and the mujahedeen succeeded to prevent the Zionist soldiers from kidnapping his body, but they also were not able to move his body to a rear line because the region he martyred in was full of ambushes from both sides.
When the war was over, the body of martyr Hasan Fahes had disappeared from the spot he was left in.
His family and friends thought that he was kidnapped by the Israeli enemy, but after the indirect exchange operation between Hezbollah and the Zionists in 2008, it turned out that martyr Hasan’s body was not with them.
And so, the fate of martyr Hasan’s body is still mysterious until today.
