Tunisian Foreign Minister Khamis Al-Jheinawi said on Sunday that his country’s representative to the Arab League meeting told the conferees that Tunisia opposes the AL statement regarding Hezbollah.

Tunisian Foreign Minister Khamis Al-Jheinawi said on Sunday that his country's representative to the Arab League meeting told the conferees that Tunisia opposes the AL statement regarding Hezbollah.

Speaking to local media outlets, Al-Jheinawi said Tunisia still has the same position it adopted following the Arab Interior Ministers' statement.

The official stressed his country does not classify Hezbollah as a terrorist group, and called for dialogue to solve the issue.

"Hezbollah liberated a part of occupied Lebanese lands, and his positions towards the Palestinian cause are a source of pride," he said.
