The UN special rapporteur on torture reported all the violent practices done by the regime troops against the Shia locals in various cities since the eruption of the democratic and peaceful uprising in 2011 against the tyrant ruler that rejects to grant the Bahrainis their basic rights.
The report mentioned the following perpetrations:
-Excessive use of force and abuses targeting Bahraini protesters and Shia clerics
-Destruction of relevant mosques and marginalization in the public space
-Use of historical narrative to marginalize Shia communities
-Discrimination in the educational system
-Discrimination in the media
-Discrimination in public employment and in housing policies
-Exclusion of Shia Ajam from Bahraini citizenship and economic marginalization
