Secretary of State John Kerry announced plans to visit Moscow next week, in the wake of Russia's unexpected announcement that it was pulling its forces out of Syria.

Kerry told the media in Washington that the withdrawal, coupled with the ongoing peace negotiations in Geneva, which are scheduled to re-start on Monday, offered the best chance of ending the five-year crisis since it began.
