Syrian Army units foiled ISIL terrorists’ attempt to attack a military post to the northeast of al-Mufakker al-Sharqi in Salamiyeh area in Hama province

Syrian Army units foiled ISIL terrorists’ attempt to attack a military post to the northeast of al-Mufakker al-Sharqi in Salamiyeh area in Hama province, a military source told SANA on Friday.

Two of the terrorists’ vehicles, one equipped with a heavy machinegun and the other loaded with weapons, were destroyed.

Earlier on Thursday, an army unit ambushed ISIL terrorists in the eastern countryside of Hama province.

According to the source, the ambush resulted in the destruction of a truck loaded with weapons and ammunition intended to be sent to ISIL terrorists in al-Sheikh Hilal village in Hama eastern countryside and the death of a  number of terrorists.

Army units killed a number of ISIL members in al-Tar and al-Hayal mountains, al-Mothalath, Wadi al-Zakara and the area surrounding Tadmour city in Homs countryside.

The Syrian army destroyed a tank for ISIL in southern Mahin in Homs southern countryside, killing or injuring a number of terrorists.
