Israeli occupation police killed a Palestinian teenager on Saturday, claiming he stabed and injured an Israeli border guard.
Occupation police said one guard was lightly injured in the incident, which occurred near a Ibrahimi Mosque in central al-Khalil.
Another border guard killed the Palestinian teen, the occupation police said, claiming that the teen approached a checkpoint close to the holy mosque, where he was asked for identification.
He then drew a knife and attacked one guard, before being chased and shot dead, occupation police said.
Palestinian officials named the youth as 18-year-old Abdallah Ajluni, 17.
The occupied territories have been, since October 1, rocked by a wave of operations against Zionists in retaliation of the Israeli repressive measures against the Palestinians across the West Bank and especially in al-Quds.
Zionist settlers backed by occupation forces have been repeatedly storming the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, sparking Palestinian anger.
However the occupation forces have been brutally attacking the Palestinians under the pretext of staging stabbing attacks.
The Palestinian operations since the start of October have killed 28 Israelis, while the Israeli occupation forces killed 198 Palestinians.
