Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Monday that Iranian security forces will deal the maximum blow to the minimum terrorist measures.

In a meeting with the staff and officials of the Expediency Council, Rafsanjani said that fight with terrorism is the most significant issue of the humanity under the current circumstances.

Since they (terrorists) have wide scale presence in many countries, eradication of them is not an easy task, Rafsanjani said.

The terrorists might use chemical weapons desperately as they did it in Tikrit, he underlined.

Highlighting current developments in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya and Afghanistan, he said military confrontation with the terrorist group is of prime importance, but, the world leaders should fulfill preparatory works uproot them.

Danger of terrorists pose major threat to the entire region, he said adding that those who created the group for special purposes have now fallen into trap of the crime.

Rafsanjani warned that stirring up religious discord might be among the enemies next scenario to deal a blow to the Islamic Revolution and regretfully some extremist groups welcome such discords.

All should strive to prevent conflict between Shia and Sunni Muslims in the region as the flames of such fire will burn the whole region, Rafsanjani said.
