Head of the Syrian government delegation to Geneva said that threats delivered by the so-called "Riyadh delegation" been practically translated in the form of terrorist attacks on Aleppo and Damascus countryside.
In a press statement following a second session of talks with the UN special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura in Geneva, Jaafari said that talks with de Mistura discussed the escalation perpetrated by the terrorist organizations in Aleppo and As-Sayyedah Zeinab (as) in Damascus countryside.
“The main aim of uttering such statements was the failure of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue and involving it in more foreign intervention and carrying out the orders of the masters of Saudi group to escalate situation, yet it is not strange that escalation in Aleppo came by the terrorist group of so-called Ahrar al-Sham, run by Turkish intelligence, and escalation in Damascus came by the so-called Jaish al-Islam run by Saudi intelligence,” al-Jaafari said, according to SANA news agency.
He went on to say that the message of al-Riyadh delegation before withdrawing from Geneva talks was clear which is to break the cessation of hostilities agreement and attacking the Syrian Arab army.
Meanwhile, Jaafari said the Damascus has sent a letter to UN Secretary General and President of Security Council, calling on the Security Council to take immediate and urgent procedures to help the Syrian government fight terrorism.
He noted that the government delegation presented to de Mistura today its constitutional modifications about his suggested document, considering them as part and parcel of this paper.
