Scores of ISIL and al-Nusra Terrorists Killed in Several Syrian Provinces

Many members of terrorists organizations have been killed in continued operations by the Syrian army units and the Air Force over the past 24 hours, while more of their dens, weapons and vehicles were destroyed.

Hama

An army unit killed 28 al-Nusra Front (Qaeda branch in the Levant) terrorists near Skeik Hill in the northern countryside of Hama province, a military source told SANA on Friday.

Idleb

The Army’s air force targeted positions for al-Nusra terrorists east of  al-Tamanaa in the southern countryside of Idleb province, killing 11 of them and destroying a vehicle.

Homs

The Syrian Air force launched airstrikes against ISIL gatherings in the area surrounding al-Shaer field, Jazel and Hindawi in the eastern countryside of Homs and to the south of al-Bareda in the southeast countryside, according to a military source.

The source added that a number of ISIL vehicles and sites were destroyed and many of its members were killed during the airstrikes.

In the northern countryside, the Syrian sorties eliminated gatherings of al-Nusra and other armed groups affiliated to it in al-Ghajar and Burj Qaai in al-Hola area.

Sweida

An army unit targeted with concentrated strikes ISIL gatherings in the northeast countryside of Sweida province.

The source added that most of the members of a terrorist group affiliated to ISIS were killed during the strikes in al-Qassr village and a heavy-equipped vehicle was destroyed in the area surrounding Tal Ashiheb in the northeast countryside of the province.

Deir Ezzor

An Army and Armed Forces unit clashed with terrorists from ISIL who had attacked military positions at the outskirts of al-Sina’a neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city.

A source on the ground told SANA’s correspondent that the clashes resulted in foiling the terrorist attack, leaving scores of terrorists dead or injured and destroying vehicle rigged with explosives before it could reach a military position.

The source added that among the ISIS members killed in the clashes were “Abu Hajer al-Khair” who was the leader of a “storming brigade” in the terrorist organization, and “Abu Anas al-Masri,” along with several foreign terrorists.
