Terrorists in Aleppo fired on Tuesday shells filled with chemical agents on Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, a source in Syria's National Defense Forces said.

"Shells carrying chemical agents exploded today in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood," Ria Navosti news agency quoted the source as saying.

"The shells were fired from Al-Bustan neighborhood," the agency added.

Al-Bustan neighborhood is known for being controlled by Takfiri terrorists.

Earlier last week, Russia's Defense Ministry reported that chemical weapons, have been transported to the Aleppo province from Idlib.

The arms are said to contain "chlorine-based toxins," the ministry detailed.
