An Iraqi commander revealed that the warplanes were employed in the campaign and that the progressing troops defused the bombs that had been planted by the ISIL terrorists.

Battlefield forces also noted that the Iraqi forces achieved a considerable progress in many positions across the county, killing scores of militants.

Iraqi forces on Monday began a military campaign to retake the ISIL stronghold of Fallujah in Anbar province.
