Putin " offered the sincerest terms of solidarity and sympathy with families of the victims, hoping quick recovery for the wounded," SANA news agency cited a cable sent by Putin to Assad.
“This tragedy indicates, once again, the inhuman and brutal feature of the terrorist groups which launched the bloody war against the Syrian people,” Putin said in the cable.
He reiterated Moscow’s readiness to continue cooperation with the Syrian partners against the terrorist threat, stressing that criminals whose hands are stained with the blood of innocents would not escape punishment.
